For the third year in a row, we are excited to offer a full time coach dedicated to track events for anyone who are interested in joining our club. Coach David McDougall will be at our team practice on Sundays this season (see team Calendars for the team practice schedule). David comes highly recommended by our own Gwynn Villegas who has been working out with David for some time. David is currently a fitness trainer for elite members at Fitness SF and used to coach high school track and field teams. You can see his specializations and credentials on Fitness SF page. Coach Dave will be with us this season and provide specific drills and workouts for sprinters, distance runners and jumpers.
Take advantage of this great opportunity to set goals for the season and start training with Coach Dave. It is up to you whether you want to follow the structured drills and workouts at our Sunday practice, or you can work with Coach Dave to develop specific programs that fit your needs. Coach Dave will try his best to meet your expectations.
Last, but not least, please note that our club is financing member benefits by running fundraisers throughout the year. We are able to offer you the full time track coach free of charge, thanks to many who volunteer at these fundraisers. The first fundraiser of the year is coming up on Sunday, April 3, at Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Francisco.
