 General

  • Pride Meet is a USATF-sanctioned event, and it attracts athletes from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Pride Meet is designed to provide athletes of all sexual orientations and gender identities with an opportunity to compete together in a welcoming environment. We proudly serve both the LGBTQ sport community and the general track & field community.

  • Pride Meet will tentatively take place on Saturday June 22nd 2024 at Laney College in Oakland, CA. Please see our meet info page for details.

  • The Pride Track & Field Meet is NOT being held the weekend of San Francisco Pride. It is the weekend before.

  • Weather in San Francisco is usually pleasantly cool in June, varying from average high of 67°F to average low of 53°F, with no precipitation on average. In Oakland, however, the highs in June are usually in the mid-70s°F, but sometimes reach into the 90s°F.

 Registration

  • Please see our Registration page for details. For assistance with registering, please shoot us an email at pridemeet@sftrackandfield.com.

  • The registration fee pays for the facility, timing services, officials, medals, and other incidental costs. Pride Meet is also a fundraiser for the San Francisco Track and Field Club. We provide coached practices for our sprinting, our middle/long distance, and our throwing training groups, which are open to all; SFTFC is a registered 501c3 nonprofit.

  • USATF membership number is totally optional. You can register (online or offline) without a USATF membership number.

 Competition

  • Yes. You may add events free of charge on the day of Pride Meet.

  • Yes. See the Clerk of the Course. For morning events, inform the Clerk about your changes as soon as you can. For afternoon events, we require changes by 11:00 am. Please inquire at check-in if you think you may change events.

  • You can form teams the day of the meet. Please indicate your interest on sign-up sheets at check-in.

  • All 1/4″ spikes will be allowed.

  • All field competitors, except High Jump and Pole Vault, will get four attempts.
